Amy helps clients in both Texas and Iowa. She is tough, experienced, and devoted to the people she represents.
Her success in securing millions of dollars for injury victims and their families has earned her lifetime membership in the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum (TM) and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum (TM).
Amy is a member of the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, Trial Lawyers University, Trial School, and the Johnson County Bar Association.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Amy was born into a blue-collar family in Houston, Texas who instilled into her the values of family, hard work, and service. After earning her bachelor's degree at Abilene Christian University, Amy became a public school teacher. During her service, she received the following awards and recognitions:
In 2016, Amy changed her field of service to that of law, thus fulfilling a life-long dream. She moved to Ithaca, New York to attend Cornell University Law School where she graduated in 2019 with her Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
During her studies, Amy served as a legal researcher and writer for the Cornell Legal Information Institute, a non-profit public service organization that promotes open access to legal knowledge worldwide. She completed her legal internship in rural Iowa helping underprivileged families attain legal representation. Having fallen in love with the kind people of the Hawkeye State, Amy decided to return to Iowa to begin her legal career and focus her practice on helping injury victims and their families.
After five years in Iowa, Amy and her husband, Iowa-native Joseph P. Cummings, relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth region of Texas where Amy continues her career working for the Thomas J. Henry law firm.
Amy is bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish. Her ability to speak to minority communities without a translator help Hispanic and Latino clients feel at ease and better understood.
